Beliefs
I believe that school counselors advocate for every student and make a positive difference in their lives beginning with the implementation of a comprehensive school counseling program. The program is data driven, enabling all students, regardless of their diverse learning abilities, to learn and achieve their maximum potential. The program is delivered in a safe and nurturing, positive environment where mutual respect and individual responsibility are learned and practiced. I believe that school counselors should assume personal responsibility for adhering to the ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors. They should exercise a commitment toward excellence as they collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and staff for continuous improvement in student achievement. Program results should be measurable and communicated to stakeholders in an honest and transparent manner. Vision The students at Sweet Apple Elementary School will learn to their full potential by teachers committed to excellence in learning in a safe and nurturing environment. The teachers, staff, and administrators at Sweet Apple Elementary School will teach students personal responsibility for academic achievement. “For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.” |
